Stage 1 – Disruptor® Cartridge (Advanced Filtration Technology)

The 1st stage of filtration features the Disruptor® cartridge. It is the perfect solution for creating safe, good quality drinking & cooking water from rain water.

The Disruptor® cartridge's advanced triple-layer filtration system, which combines mechanical filtration, adsorption, and electroadsorption, is what makes it exceptionally versatile. This comprehensive approach allows it to effectively tackle a wide range of contaminants found in rain water, such as bacteria, herbicides, pesticides & heavy metals, ensuring your drinking water is clean and safe. Its robust design and certification to NSF/ANSI 42 & 53 Standards ensure reliable performance for rain water supplies.

Filtration Process

The Disruptor® 10" x 2.5" Filter Cartridge utilizes patented Disruptor® filtration technology, integrating multiple advanced filtration methods. These methods include:

• Electroadsorption: This process leverages an electropositive charge to attract and capture negatively charged submicron particles like viruses, bacteria, and colloids, which are typically difficult to remove with traditional mechanical filtration.

• Depth Filtration: This involves a thick, porous filter medium that captures particles throughout the depth of the filter, not just on the surface, increasing its capacity and efficiency for sediment and larger contaminants.

• Nanofiber Surface Area for Fine Filtration: The cartridge incorporates nanofibers, significantly increasing the surface area available for filtration. This enhanced surface area allows for the capture of extremely fine particles and a broader range of contaminants.

• Submicron Filtration: This ensures the removal of particles smaller than one micron, including many harmful microorganisms and suspended solids that can bypass less advanced filters.

It is certified to NSF/ANSI 42 & 53 Standards and removes herbicides, pesticides, PFAS, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses and more.

It lasts 12 to 18 months or 3000 litres, whichever comes first, depending on your water quality.
