How To Treat Viruses and Bacteria In Your Water

The most effective ways of treating Bacteria are Reverse Osmosis, Aragon Water Filters or simply by dosing your system with Hydrosil Pure. 

Hydrosil

Hydrosil Pure is a cleaning product that is very good at treating existing contamination in your water supply. It’s HACCP approved and highly recommended to kill bacteria & viruses.

Water Filters That Remove Bacteria and Viruses

Two great options to remove bacteria and viruses from your water are: 

1. An Aragon cartridge inside a Benchtop or Under Sink Water Filter
2. A Berkey system

The Aragon Water Filter cartridges are also the perfect solution for replacing the cartridges in any 10” x 2.5” industry style benchtop or under sink water filter system. These Aragon cartridges have been tested for bug, bacteria & virus protection worldwide and create delicious drinking water.

Aragon cartridges are available for our Ultrapure range of Undersink and Benchtop Water Filters. Alternatively, see our Berkey range if you’re looking for a gravity-fed option that focuses on Bacteria protection.

Berkey Systems equipped with Black Berkey Purification Elements remove up to 99.999% of viruses and 99.9999% of pathogenic bacteria. An excellent option for a benchtop solution that can also be taken away on camping trips. 

Reverse Osmosis

Reverse Osmosis is by far the most effective way of treating water - period. 

Reverse Osmosis is so effective that it even eliminates all the healthy bacteria and minerals in the water. Luckily our Reverse Osmosis products can come with additional alkalisers to bring the pH of your water back up to a beautiful balance.
