Pure Coconut Carbon Block Filters are made from a combination of high-performance coconut shell carbon, unique binders and industry leading manufacturing processes to deliver trade quality carbon block filters. They deliver exceptionally low pressure drop while maintaining a high dirt holding capacity with excellent contaminant reduction capabilities.
Pure Carbon Blocks are registered in compliance with NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 61 for several things, including VOC’s, THM’s, Lead & Heavy Metal Reduction, Chloramine Reduction & Chlorine Taste & Odour reduction. This also includes meeting standards of purity & safety of the materials used.
LPD Filters are utilised in cases that require the chemical reduction capacity of a carbon block, combined with the flow rate capacity and differential pressure drop of an impregnated Pleated Filter. The coarser micron rating of 20uM allows the filter cartridge to process a higher volume of water with as little resistance as possible. The success of this cartridge comes by way of the special combination of materials and high iodine number to provide chemical absorption you would expect from a standard CTO cartridge, while at the same time having almost 30% less media creating a thinner block wall, allowing water to flow at a higher rate with little resistance.

Free chlorine can be easily removed from water with minimal contact time, however now most municipal water supplies in Australia are using Monochloramine. Monochloramine is an ammonia bonded Chlorine molecule (NH2Cl) which is an inorganic compound. What Does It Do?
Water filter lubricant is vital to ensure the success of your water filter as it ages over the years. When you first receive your water filter it will be new, straight out of the factory, so the housing threads, the o-rings, and anything we use the water filter lubricant for will already be new and lubricated.
What Do I Do?
All water filtration owners should keep this lubricant available for when they service or change the cartridges in their water filter. Every year most people will change the cartridges and give the water filter a quick tidy up. When this happens, it is important to action the steps below.
1. Place a little water filter grease onto the housing threads. Then when you refit the housing to the system, the housing will screw onto the head cap with ease. Then next year when you go to remove the housing, the housing will remove easily.
2. Remove the o-rings from the water filter housings and wipe a little water filter lubricant over them. This will ensure the o-rings stay in place when you replace them. Also the o-rings will seal better when tightened. It will stop the o-rings from drying out and they will last longer.
