The AquaCo 20" x 4.5" Bacteriostatic Carbon Block Water Filter Cartridge has been proven to reduce chlorine, taste, odors, and color from water.

The term "Bacteriostatic" indicates that the filter has the ability to limit the growth and proliferation of bacteria within it, preventing them from contaminating the filtered water. Silver ions, which are known for their antimicrobial properties, are integrated into the cartridge to ensure that dangerous bacteria, like E. coli and Salmonella, do not develop and breed within it.

When water passes through the filter, the carbon block cartridge eliminates contaminants while the silver impregnation technology restricts the growth of bacteria, guaranteeing that the bacteria is not breeding inside te cartridge.

Cartridge Information

Manufacturers rate filter cartridges in "microns," which is a measure of the pore size. Smaller micron ratings indicate a tighter filter, with the ability to capture finer particles. One-micron filters, for example, are suitable for drinking water only. When installing or replacing any water filter cartridges, ensure the main water supply is turned off prior to starting. Ensure you know what you are doing or have a qualified plumber help with installing or replacing cartridges.
