STAGE 1 -Polyspun Sediment Cartridge

Fit all standard industry water filter housings 10” x 2.5”

Sediment filtration is a vital part of any water filtration process. A sediment filtration cartridge does just that, it removes the sediments from the water source you are trying to filter. At times preparing the water quality for the next stage in the process so that cartridge can perform at its best and last for as long as possible.

Polyspun Cartridges

Polyspun Sediment cartridges offer a simple means of filtration.

They are made from spun bonded polypropylene, the manufacturing technique of these cartridges results in no centre core to the filter, thus not restricting the filter performance.

The materials also provide a resilient barrier to bacterial/chemical influence – preventing any build of unwanted waste (e.g. algae).

Cartridge Information

Filter cartridge manufacturers rate cartridges in "microns". Microns are a size measurement of the pore size, so the smaller the number, the tighter the filter. One-micron filters are for drinking water.

Filter cartridge manufacturers also use the words "absolute" and "nominal" to describe their products' micron ratings. Absolute means absolute. Nominal means "more or less."

STAGE 2 - FLUORIDE REMOVAL 97%

This fluoride removal filter made in the USA effectively removes fluoride in your drinking water up to 97%. The fluoride removal media is made from the same minerals that rubies and sapphires are made from in crystalline form.

The filtration process is called "selective absorption". Which is a mixture of physical/chemical reaction where the fluoride ions are removed by binding to the medias oxidised surface.

This is a very highly porous material with a massive surface area of 200 square metres per gram, providing great fluoride filtration results.

STAGE 3 - Doulton Ultracarb Ceramic Cleanable Cartridge

This Doulton Ultracarb cartridge is 3 stages in 1 cartridge.

The first stage in this filtration system has a 0.9 Absolute filtration rating removing 99.999 % of Cryptosporidium & Giardia. As a pre filter it also effectively removes sediment particles and harmful bacteria.

• Firstly it filters out fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts and turbidity. It's incorporated with silver, locked within the ceramic structure which gives self sterilising properties. 

• The inner core of this filter is activated carbon block which removes chlorine and organic compounds. 

• The 3rd stage is ion exchange resin which reduces lead and other heavy metals.
