G'day folks, Rod from My Water Filter here today. And what were gonna do is just have a quick look at flushing the water filters, okay? Now generally all of our range of ULTRAPURE, ULTRAPURE Aragon, carbon cartridges, Doulton Ultracarb, they all can be installed, and you pretty much turn the water on and give 'em a good five or 10 minute flush and you're done and you're good to go. But, and there is a big but, if you have one of our water filters that has got a fluoride removal cartridge in it, now it doesn't matter if it's under sink, twin, triple, bench top, twin, triple, they've all got the same USA fluoride removal cartridge inside and they are amazing cartridges, they remove 97% of the fluoride, but they need to be flushed for 10 minutes on their own before you can use them, okay?
And the situation is, they have a lot of fines in them. If you leave your cartridge here, if you leave cartridges in these housings, and you turn the water on, all the fines come out of the cartridge and they adhere on the secondary cartridges, and you block 'em up before you even start, okay? So the message here is, if you have a fluoride removal cartridge in any of our water filters, you must remove any cartridges after the fluoride cartridge. So if its a simple twin like this one, bench top or under sink, the fluoride cartridge stays in number one, you take the housing off, you remove the cartridge from housing number two, you run water through it for 10 minutes, a minimum of 10 minutes, fluoride cartridges must be flushed for a minimum of 10 minutes flat out.
So remove the second cartridge, put the housing back on, turn on the water, flush it flat out for 10 minutes. If it's like this one here, fluoride's in the first position housing, same as the twin, you take cartridges two and three out, take 'em both out, put the housings back on, turn on the water, and flush it flat out for a minimum of 10 minutes. If its a bench top, under sink, as I said, no difference. If you've got the fluoride cartridge in the middle, so this could be a sediment cartridge, no need to remove it, but if you've got a fluoride cartridge here, you must remove the third cartridge, put the housing back on, flush the fluoride cartridge for 10 minutes, okay? Once you've flushed your fluoride cartridge for 10 minutes, then you can install your other cartridges that you took out and you can put the housings back on, and then you can just flush them for a further five minutes to give those cartridges a flush if they're new, and you're good to go, okay? So just to reiterate, if you've got a fluoride cartridge of ours in your water filter, and you replace it or it's new, it must be flushed for a minimum of 10 minutes, after that flushing period, you can replace the cartridges, after the fluoride, turn the water on for five minutes, give them a flush as well, and you're good to go. Thank you very much.
