Good day folks. Rod for My Water Filter here.
Today we are troubleshooting an error when installing a Vitamin Shower.
We’ve had a situation where a customer installed their new Vitamin C Shower Head and discovered what happens when the shower head is over tightened.
No Water Coming Out Of Shower Head
The first thing you need to do is unscrew the shower head from the wall.
In the video below, you will notice that when the Vitamin Shower Head was installed, it was over-tightened and the face of the threaded part was compressing the little washer inside.
When the washer on the inside is compressed, it constricts the inside hole and water just can’t get through.
In this video, we troubleshoot a common issue with a new Vitamin Shower filter: no water flow! Discover how over-tightening can cause problems and learn simple solutions to ensure your filter works perfectly. Follow along as we demonstrate how to adjust the installation, use thread tape, and get your water flowing smoothly again. Don’t let minor setbacks ruin your excitement—let's get your filter sorted!
There are two ways you can fix this issue:
- Loosen the shower head at the wall and leave the washer in there, or;
- Use a piece of wire to remove the rubber out of the filter and wrap extra thread tape around the half-inch BSP at the wall to create a better seal.
If you’ve tried the above steps and you’re still struggling with getting a good water flow through your shower filter, please call our Customer Service team on 1800 769 300.
