Do I Really Need To Remove Fluoride

There are studies available showing that Fluoridated water is causing higher and higher amounts of damage to our bodies - more than we probably realise.

Simply put - fluoride is neurotoxic.

Using a water filter that removes fluoride is the safest and best way to living when you are drinking fluoridated water.

A Few Reasons To Avoid Fluoride

Fluoride May Damage Your Thyroid.

Recent studies suggest that water fluoridation in England is linked to a 30 per cent increase in underactive thyroid diagnosis. The thyroid gland produces hormones that regulate how well every cell, tissue, and organ in the body functions.

These hormones regulate some of the most vital bodily functions.

Fluoridated Water Lowers IQ

New data suggests fluoridated water could even lead to brain damage and lower IQs in kids.

As of February 2021, a total of 76 studies have investigated the relationship between fluoride and human intelligence. Of these investigations, 68 studies have found that elevated fluoride exposure is associated with reduced IQ in humans.

Fluoridated Water Can Cause Fluorosis.

Prolonged, excessive exposure to fluoride can cause a debilitating bone disease known as skeletal fluorosis. Fluorosis in children can cause IQ impairment.

Sure, taking fluoride has some benefits for dental health but in the 21st century, can we still cling to that age-old argument and turn a blind eye to all of the drawbacks?

There are many reasons you may  need a fluoride water filter, continue reading to find out more.

Are There Other Water Filters That Remove Fluoride?

Filtering fluoride from the water supply is most efficiently done with a Reverse Osmosis system. However, the other alternative is to use an Omnipure Fluoride Removal cartridge which will fit inside of our signature Ultrapure Benchtop and Under Sink Water Filter systems.

If you have a Benchtop Gravity Filter, you can use the Ultraceram Fluoride Removal cartridge, which happens to be one of the best in the world at removing fluoride; even better than the Omnipure because of the high contact time the water has with the cartridge.

Does A Brita Filter Out Fluoride?

At best, a Brita filter will only remove chlorine taste and odour while only reducing other contaminants slightly.

What Is The Best Fluoride Removal Filter?

Should you be worried about fluoride in your drinking water?

If you’re still worried, it’s time to employ the best solution for fluoride in your drinking water.

Reverse Osmosis is the most effective method of removing fluoride from your drinking water.

For removing Fluoride, our best recommendation is to go for an Aquasana OptimH20 or an RO 4000 with alkaline.

The downside is that there is a lot of water wastage due to about 50% of the water going down the drain.

Option two is to use the omnipure fluoride removal cartridge in a single, twin, or triple benchtop or undersink water filter.
